He started his training at "Vecchi-Tonelli" Conservatory in Carpi, he became to study jazz at Professional Music Institute of Reggio Emilia with Chicco Montisano and Alessandro Altarocca. He graduated cum laude at “A. Boito” Conservatory in Parma studying with Roberto Bonati, Emiliano Vernizzi, Roberto Dani and Alberto Tacchini. He earned his Master's Degree at "F. Venezze" Conservatory in Rovigo (Fabio Petretti, Stefano Onorati, Massimo Morganti...) cum laude and academic mention.

During his musical training he took masterclasses with Joe Lovano, Misha Alperin, Eddie Gomez, Barre Phillips, Evan Tate, Tor Yttredal, Sidsel Endresen, Morten Halle, Mattia Cigalini, Gianni Vancini.

In 2014 he attended Veneto Jazz workshop with some teachers from “New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music”: John Ellis, Rory Stuart, Kevin Hays and Marco Tamburini. Arcevia Jazz (Scott Hall, Mike Rossi, Simone La Maida, Massimo Morgant) where he won a scolarship for the Columbia College Chicago - Music Department.

In Chicago he took lessons with Jarrard Harris, Peter Saxe, Scott Hall and a masterclass with Dave Douglas, having the chance to play with him at the “Jazz Showcase” club. In the same period he moved to New York to study with David Binney, Melissa Aldana and Loren Stillman.

During the following years he attended the “Berklee Clinics” - Umbria Jazz Festival (Dino Govoni, Jeff Stout), “Nuoro Jazz” (Joe Lovano, Emanuele Cisi, Dado Moroni, Paolino Dalla Porta, Stefano Bagnoli) where he was selected as a finalist of the “Massimo Urbani International Soloist Competition” and “Siena Jazz” (Avishai Coen, Theo Blackman, Achille Succi, Will Winson, Maurizio Giammarco, Ben Wendel, Harish Raghavan, Gerald Clayton).

Beetween 2017 and 2018 he won the “Stefano Cerri Contest” with the jazz project “Archipelagos” with which he recorded “In your thoughts”, published by UR Records. Then he was a finalist of the “Massimo Urbani International Soloist Competition”, “Marco Tamburini” Award, “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” and winner of “Chicco Bettinardi” National Award. The same year he won the national audition as lead alto saxophone of the ONJ - National Jazz Orchestra conducted by Pino Iodice with which he did three italian tourneè and another one in Tel Aviv.

Foto di Gianni GrossiHe played at Umbria Jazz with Offset Quartet as selected band of the “Conad Jazz Contest”. Now he is a component of the Andrea Grossi Blend 3 with Michele Bonifati. The trio recorded its first album Lubok and was selected by I-Jazz Association for the project “Nuova Generation Jazz 2019”. The next year he won the “Barga Jazz Contest” with the Valentina Fin Trio and was awarded with the “Luca Flores” Award as best soloist.

He performed in theatres like: Teatro Regio (Parma), Teatro Piccolo (Milano), Teatro Dal Verme (Milano), Teatro Due (Parma), Teatro G. D’Annunzio (Pescara), Teatro R. Valli (Reggio Emilia), Teatro Santa Cecilia (Palermo), Teatro Al Castello (Roccella Ionica), Teatro Verdi (Busseto), Teatro Guardassoni (Bologna).

He's member of several projects ranging from mainstream jazz to radical improvisation and he played with different orchestras: Jazz Art Orchestra, Orchestra Nazionale Jazz, Parma Frontiere Orchestra, Civica Jazz Band, Venezze Big Band, Area M Orchestra, Reunion Big Band, Jazz’ On Parma Orchestra, Tai-No Orchestra, Chironomic Orchestra, Mantua Band Studio.
